Flow Science offers free academic license programs for FLOW-3D, FLOW-3D HYDRO and FLOW-3D CAST to faculty members, researchers, instructors, and students.
Flow Science offers free 4-month licenses for FLOW-3D, FLOW-3D CAST and FLOW3D HYDRO for the purpose of academic research. Applications require a research proposal. If accepted, a license for the software that best fits the applicant’s field of research will be issued.
Flow Science offers free teaching, and long-term department wide licenses without the 4-month limitation as well.

PERMAS4EDU covers the entire process chain from the FE mesh to evaluation. PERMAS4EDU (https://www.intes.de/edu) has essentially the same functionality as the commercial version of PERMAS. However, some limitations are introduced in the educational edition to prevent commercial usage. It is based on version 19 and available on Windows 10/11 and Linux, respectively. Therefore it is well suited for self-study and further training.

The SimScale Free Academic Plan enables students and educators to get familiarised with the SimScale CAE platform and enhance their simulation knowledge. The Academic Plan includes a one-time three-month access to the SimScale with 2,000 cloud computing core hours and private projects.
The SimScale Academic Enterprise Plan is dedicated to universities, schools, and research institutes to provide administrative tools to easily implement, manage and teach simulation at scale.
Shapr3D's educational license is free for students, teachers and faculty members of accredited educational institutions. The license is valid for one year (365 days) and can be renewed once it expires.
