The Computational Fluid Dynamics working group carries out the following main activities
The working group has produced a number of useful documents and publications to assist Computational Fluid Dynamics users and their managers in the efficient use of CFD technology. The publications are focussed on the practical process of applying Computational Fluid Dynamics, as well as on the technology behind the software and related engineering science.
Participants at the seminars have a wide range of backgrounds from practical design engineers to CFD specialists and code developers. This mixture makes the seminars very successful with both audience and presenters learning many new ideas. Open discussion periods are included and, where possible, these are chaired by industrial experts. Accredited courses are available for those who wish to learn more about Computational Fluid Dynamics in a structured training environment.
The Journal publishes Computational Fluid Dynamics case study papers, i.e. investigations, simulations and validation exercises in accordance with Computational Fluid Dynamics best practice guidelines. Original papers, book reviews and letters to the Editor are acceptable. The purpose of the Journal is to disseminate information to the wider NAFEMS community interested in the application of CFD for industrial design. The papers are peer reviewed by the editorial board.
